lue Butterfly's caterpillar

The caterpillar of the Blue Butterfly segregates a sweet juice that the worker ant licks. In this way the caterpillar tricks the ant. The ant then picks the caterpillar in its jaws and carries it to the nest. There the caterpillar will feed on ant larvae during the whole winter. It will leave the nest in spring, to change into pupa and become a butterfly.
