Does the flu shot prevents colds?
No. The flu vaccine only protects you against the virus of the influenza. It will not stop coughs and colds and other viruses.

Is the modern vaccine safe?
Yes. Most people have little if any reaction to the latest flu shots. Up to 50% get some soreness in the arm for a day or two.

Do I need a pap smear if I have already gone through the menopause?
Yes. You still need a pap smear until you turn 70, as the risk of developing cancer of the cervix increases with age.

I have not been sexually active for years, do I still need a pap smear?
Yes. You are still at risk of cancer of the cervix, no matter how long ago you last had sex.

I have high cholesterol. Can I eat prawns and oysters?
Yes. Seafood, such as prawns, oysters, lobster, crab, mussels, squid and fish have very low cholesterol and saturated fats.
